Ibex
This product is custom order. Please get in contact here if you are interested.
The ibex is a type of wild goat that lives across Europe, Asia and Africa. Its horns were the used by the Israelite many thousands of years ago to create the very first shofarot and have been valued for their impressive size, sound and design ever since. The ibex is a rare and illusive creature and so finding ibex horns can often be very difficult. This, paired with how highly they are valued by shofar enthusiasts across the globe means that they command a high price. We here at exotic shofars aim to provide our customers with the very best ibex horn shofarot, reflecting their value as living peices of Jewish history.
Our Shofarot are hand made in small quantities and finished with a natural vegetable oil coating. We take care to boil our horns before production to ensure they are fully sterile and take every precaution to make sure they are 100% kosher.
Our signature natural finish retains the beauty of the horn while keeping it still somewhat smooth to the touch. Unlike other, mirror polished shofarot, you can see the grain, the imperfections, the ridges and valleys on every one of our shofarot.
All our shofarot make perfects gitfts, be they wedding presents, bar/batmitzvah presents or any other special occasion.
Please note the shofarot pictured above are example products and may differ slightly from the product you receive.
